Welcome to my teacher site! Over the years, I have taught preschool, kindergarten, sixth grade, and seventh grade. By far, my favorite grades to teach are the middle school grades! I love watching my students learn more about themselves and their world every day.
I was born and raised in Shawnee, Oklahoma before moving to Stillwater to attend Oklahoma State University. I graduated with a B.S. in Human Development and Family Sciences, with a specialization in Children and Family Services.
I taught preschool right after graduating from Oklahoma State, later going on to teach kindergarten for two more years. I then decided to get my masters degree in Education, and graduated with a M.A. in the Art of Teaching. I am certified to teach through grade 8, but my specialization is in English Language Arts and Reading.
I taught sixth grade at Stillwater Middle School before moving to the Tulsa area. This is my fourth year at Sequoyah Public Schools, and I am so grateful to be an Eagle!
